Local Addendum for Israeli-based Users
This Local Addendum ("Addendum") supplements the HSBCnet Privacy Notice (available here) ("Privacy Notice") and applies specifically to users located in Israel. It is intended to provide additional information required under Israeli privacy laws, including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations.
The following provisions apply in addition to, and where relevant modify, the Privacy Notice for users located in Israel. All other provisions of the Privacy Notice remain in full effect.
Data Controller. HSBC Bank plc, company incorporated in England Registered in Israel as a foreign company no. 56-001917-6, of 2 Jabotinsky St., Ramat Gan, Israel ("HSBC Israel"), acts as the Data Controller in respect of your personal data.
Legal Basis for processing. For certain personal data, you are legally required to disclose the personal data to us. For other types of personal data, you provide it to us voluntarily with your consent. However, please note that if you choose not to provide us with the personal data we request, it may not be possible for us to provide you with access to certain products or services which you or the entity you are acting on behalf of have requested.
Transferring your personal data overseas. Your personal data may be transferred to and stored in locations outside the State of Israel, including countries/territories that may not have the same level of protection for personal data. When we do this, we’ll ensure it has an appropriate level of protection and that the transfer is lawful.
Right to rectify/delete personal data. You have the right to request that your personal data is rectified or deleted if it’s inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date. You have also the right to request that your personal data be deleted, if it is used for direct marketing, as set out under the applicable privacy law.
